Welcome to the Carrog Station website, here we hope to tell you the story of this jewel in the crown of the Llangollen Railway.

  Carrog Station was from opening in May 1996 to May 2023 the terminus for services on the Llangollen Railway, but since the opening of the new Corwen Station it has become an intermediate stop on this wonderful Dee Valley line.  The station was originally opened in 1865 when the Llangollen-Corwen section of the line was opened.  Closure followed in December 1964 whereupon the station lay dormant until restoration and reopening in 1996,
